First Light Capital – 8 Antares Place Lighting Upgrade

Background

NuGreen was engaged to deliver a full lighting upgrade at 8 Antares Place, Rosedale, for building owner First Light Capital and tenant Daifuku. Over 300 fluorescent fittings required replacement, and the tenant had limited ability to control lighting across the open-plan workspace. Improving lighting performance, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing the tenant experience were the key drivers behind the upgrade.

NuGreen Solution

NuGreen provided complete end-to-end services, replacing all fluorescent fittings with high-efficiency LED luminaires and implementing a Casambi wireless smart-lighting control system throughout the office. This technology enables the tenant to adjust, schedule, and optimise lighting across different zones of the workspace, improving both usability and operational flexibility. The solution addressed energy efficiency and controllability in a single, integrated upgrade.

The Results

Annual energy savings of 25,710 kWh and $12,151 achieved.
Carbon emissions reduced by 2.8 tonnes per year.
Lighting-related energy use expected to reduce by approximately 70%.
Casambi smart-control system gives Daifuku full day-to-day control of their lighting environment.
