NuGreen was engaged to deliver an LED lighting upgrade at CHT Healthcare Trust’s St Johns aged care facility. The project carried unique requirements beyond a typical commercial upgrade — the facility provides full-time residential care for elderly patients, meaning all work had to prioritise resident safety, wellbeing, and comfort above all else. Minimising disruption to daily care routines was a non-negotiable requirement alongside improving lighting quality and reducing energy costs.

NuGreen installed Halcyon downlights and control buttons throughout the facility, selected for their warm, high-quality illumination suited to a care environment where lighting comfort directly impacts resident wellbeing. The installation was carefully phased to protect patient safety at all times and keep operational disruption to an absolute minimum. NuGreen coordinated closely with facility management and care staff, adapting the schedule to accommodate the demands of a live healthcare setting.
