First Light Capital – 26 Ross Reid Place, Auckland

Background

Lighting at First Light Capital’s 26 Ross Reid Place had become inefficient and outdated, resulting in high energy consumption and rising operational costs. Legacy fixtures and failed lamps caused poor, inconsistent illumination across office and high-traffic areas, creating a substandard environment for staff and visitors. The ageing system required ongoing maintenance and no longer met the facility’s needs. NuGreen was engaged to deliver a modern, energy-efficient upgrade to improve lighting performance and reduce energy use across the site.

NuGreen Solution

NuGreen redesigned the lighting throughout the building, replacing all outdated luminaires with high-efficiency LED fixtures. The upgrade standardised lighting types across the building, improved illumination in offices and high-traffic areas, and selected long-life LED technology to significantly reduce future maintenance requirements. NuGreen managed the full project from design through to installation, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.

The Results
  • Immediate improvement in lighting quality – brighter, more consistent illumination in workspaces and shared areas.
  • Annual energy savings of 50,316 kWh and $18,667 achieved.
  • Carbon emissions reduced by 5.53 tonnes per year.
  • Reduced maintenance requirements through long-life LED technology.
