Argosy – 224 Neilson Street, Onehunga
224 Neilson Street rise an industrial Greenfield development, featuring two warehouse facilities designed to meet ambitious sustainability and performance targets. Argosy is a publicly listed property owner and developer with a portfolio valued at approximately $1.4 billion, and a strategic objective to lift their assets to 5- and 6-Star Green Star ratings. This project forms part of that long-term ESG commitment.
Achieving a 6-Star Green Star Industrial rating required more than simply installing solar — it demanded rigorous compliance with sustainability and ethical sourcing requirements, including component-level traceability, ethical product declarations, and Green Star–certified cabling and load management. NuGreen Energy Solutions was engaged to design and deliver solar systems that would fully support these certification requirements across both warehouses on-site.
NuGreen provided complete end-to-end solar engineering, documentation, and installation services, ensuring every element met the strict Green Star Industrial criteria.
The resulting systems delivered are:
Warehouse B
- 228 kW solar system
Warehouse A
- 480 kW solar system
- Designed with allowance for future battery integration
Both systems were engineered to contribute positively to the site’s operational performance and long-term resilience, while supporting Argosy’s broader sustainability and ESG objectives.
The development successfully achieved a 6-Star Green Star rating, with the solar systems meeting all required sustainability benchmarks. The installation future-proofs the site while reducing operational emissions and energy costs, positioning 224 Neilson Street as a flagship industrial project within Argosy’s portfolio.
“NuGreen supported Argosy with the design and delivery of solar assets across the two warehouses at our new cornerstone development – 224 Neilson Street. The two systems generate a net positive energy contribution for us and supported the awarding of Green Star 6 to the buildings. The systems were designed well, installed with great workmanship and since being livened are outperforming initial generation forecasts. All in all, the solar provided a positive impact to the development.”
