First Light Capital – 8 Antares Place Lighting Upgrade

NuGreen Energy Solutions was engaged to deliver a full lighting upgrade at 8 Antares Place, Rosedale, for tenant Daifuku. More than 300 fluorescent fittings required replacement, and the tenant had limited control over lighting levels across the open-plan workspace. Improving lighting performance, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing the tenant experience were the key drivers behind the upgrade.

NuGreen provided complete end-to-end services, replacing all outdated fittings with high-efficiency LED luminaires and implementing a Casambi smart-lighting control system throughout the open-plan office. This wireless technology now enables the tenant to easily adjust and optimise lighting levels across the space.

The lighting upgrade delivered both operational and environmental benefits. The new LED and smart-control system significantly improved workplace comfort, boosted lighting quality, and enhanced tenant efficiency. The project is expected to reduce lighting-related energy use by approximately 70%, resulting in more than 28 tonnes of CO₂ savingsover the lifetime of the system.

This upgrade not only lifted the building’s performance but also added value to the tenant experience, demonstrating First Light Capital’s commitment to maintaining high standards across its assets.
